Is an archeological project, which is based on old part of Dhaka (Lalbagh). Old Dhaka’s urbanism is a curious mix of rural and urban elements. This part is full fill with different form of heritage, which convey our ancient Bengali culture.
This is quite strange, some people, who live in the society, get the inspiration form the society, talk and work for the society, think for the society, but always stay outside of the society, being inside the society. LostNever Lost will work with these alternative thinking persons.
In terms of philosophical aspect, Lost Never Lost wishes to show up the positive and negative energy of Old Dhaka through multidisciplinary art form.

Refusal is an endeavour aimed at the visual presentation of various systems of control and exerting pressure. Contemporary autocracies, particularly those in the post-Soviet region, have adopted the techniques for the collective management of their citizens’ consciousness with a great deal of success. The process of formatting and shifting meanings and of creating new ideologies is written into innocent gestures and tried and trusted sociotechnical treatments alike.

74. A OVERLAPPING
Collective Project
Working session: 1-30 Nov
Exhibition: 1-31 Dec 2012
Project concept: Mahbubur Rahman
Participants: Britto Members
A two month long collective project was made as a part of our capacity building and audience Development. Britto members as well as few individuals drew on the walls and ceiling of Britto for a month. A day to day development, overlapping of drawings to ensure the collectivity rather than individuality by refusing the conventional idea of ownership of one’s art practice was the foremost thought behind this project. An ARTRELAX for the viewers providing a lovely large and colorful floor mat made by an artist, pillows on top, music and tea were the a part of the month long show in whole December. The exhibition was wrapped up by a social gathering on the last night of the year 2012.

OddSpace is a real-time interactive installation that engages the spaces of human interactions. This project seeks to connect people separated by geography, social and cultural status by using new technologies to help facilitate their exchange. OddSpaces reminds us that while we may be separated by the conventions of our own society and identity, new technologies can be used to work against such barriers and bring to light the social norms that work behind the screens.
